In honor of Dr.
Seuss' Birthday and National Read Across America Week...
We had a special
ribbon cutting ceremony for our Dr. Seuss Garden just behind the
library.
In the fall, Eagle
Scout Derek planned and planted the garden.
This winter, our
6th grade class worked with our art teacher to create whimsical
Dr. Seuss sculptures!
The sixth graders
read with their buddies after the dedication.
ABC News covered
the event!
Students displayed
Dr. Seuss murals outside their classrooms.
The library walls
were filled with Dr. Seuss inspired drawings.
Our dedicated librarian
read Dr. Seuss stories for two weeks.
Hundreds of students
participated in a bookmark contest.
