Here are some thank you notes from Vieja Valley second and third graders:

Dear Mr. Scott,
Thank you for coming to our school. I really like the way you talked about space. I am really excited to see if there are aliens on Mars or on Jupiter's moon. I do think some aliens are planning to attack us.
I hope the new spaceship will work better.
I never knew there was water on Mars. If Mars has water, why can't we live on it? Hopefully the first person on Mars will stay alive. But with that new spaceship I think he or she will stay alive or they could die by aliens if there is any.
When Columbia blew up, I was pretty sad.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Love, Joe

Dear Mr. Scott,
I am the happiest person to have you just come here. I've learned more about space than what I usually learn in school. After all I learned I'm tempted to learn more about NASA and space. I have read in a book that someday people will live on Mars but that's when we get more advanced. You have satisfied me to go out in this galaxy and discover the unknown of space. The new spaceship is very neat. It looks a lot better then the other one.
Sincerely,
Lindsey

Dear Mr. Scott,
Thank you for coming to our school and teaching us about science. Science is my favorite subject ever since kindergarten. Is NASA ever going to Jupiter? I heard that there is a planet behind Pluto. Is that true? I hope the new spacecraft works!
Sincerely,
Jake

P.S. Will you come again?
P.P.S Is Fred R.C.?
P.P.P.S. Did you know that astronaut is Greek for star sailor?

Dear Mr. Scott,
Thank you for coming and teaching us about the moon. My favorite part was the flying machine. What was the name of the shop? My mom told me all about the little robot that acts like an atom, if they didn't have one they would get cancer.
From, Sean

Dear Mr. Scott,
Thank you for coming. Don't you get hot in the suit? I think I would get hot in the suit. But I don't know I have never been to the moon. I think that it is a great way to learn. I am very, very fascinated. I really like the space robot. I like the flying airplane thing. I agree that there is always a question after a question.
Come Again!!
Love, Sierra

Dear Mr. Scott,
Thank you for taking the time to come to our school. Happy Valentine's Day. I remember when the Columbia blew up. It was so sad when I found out. Catherine looked funny in the bed. I'm sorry but I want to be a teacher.
From, Nona

Dear Mr. Scott,
Thank you for coming to our school. I thought that wind up bird was cool it almost hit me. I liked the new rocket ship you're working on, you know the one with no wings, very space rocketry. I want to be a space person when I grow up. I wonder if Mars has a new creature on Mars.
Love, Paige
P.S. Come again.

Dear Mr. Scott,
Thank you for teaching us more about outer space! Do you know the names of any astronaut that is in space or has been to space? We are studying the moon by drawing and writing about the moon. Is it hard to invent so many things or is it fun and easy? I wish you good luck with the spaceship.
Love, Jessica

Dear Mr. Scott,
I like the way you talked about space. Did you make the models? Did you make the flying thing? Do you know more about space than the astronaut? So how much stuff do you know about space? Why did you want to know about space? Happy Valentine's Day. So thanks for coming to our school and the bird thing hit me. So I hope you write back. Did you want to come to our school? So please come again. I want you to come to our school again. Pretty please come again, please, please, please come again, please come again. I really want you to come again. I just want you to come again. JUST COME AGAIN.
From, Gabe

Dear Mr. Scott,

Thank you for teaching us about science. Happy Valentine's Day! I like the bird flying thing. I love everything you brought. I like science.

Love, Emily

Dear Mr. Scott,
Thank you for coming to our school. NASA stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration. I love the new space shuttle. It is awesome. Can you get hot in that suit? Can NASA make the tiles stronger?
Love,
Ramin

Dear Mr. Scott,
Thank you for showing us the experiment with the plastic bird thing and the paper plane. And saying they're building a space station. It was exciting for me when you talked about Mars. I liked when you said there's a robot taking pictures of Saturn and coming back to Earth in 2004 because I watched a movie that said the same thing you said about the robot taking pictures of Saturn. I think it was the best assembly I ever had.
Love,
Mason

Dear Mr. Scott,
Thank you for telling us about space. I liked the two spacecrafts and the two bird flying things. I liked the space suit. Have you been inside of it? I liked the picture of planets. The picture I liked the best is Saturn.
From,
Gregory
P.S. Happy Valentine's Day

Dear Mr. Scott,
Thank you for coming to share what you do and flying the bird that flies and sharing the astronaut suit. It was nice of you for coming. It was fun. Can you come again? And can you try on the spacesuit?
Happy Valentine's Day,
Josh

Dear Mr. Scott,
Thank you for coming to our school. I learned that if you went outside in space you could die. I liked the way you talk about the diaper. I liked the spacesuit.
Your friend,
Kassy
P.S. Please come again. Thank you for coming.

Dear Mr. Scott,
Thank you for coming to our school. I think astronauts are exciting, don't you? Did you know I know someone else named Scott? It is fun learning about space. Happy Valentine's Day.
Love,
Catherine

Dear Mr. Scott,
Thank you for coming. We like the exploding paper. I'm excited that people are going to Mars. I wonder if aliens live there. Why can't people live there? Do you know a lot about outer space?
From,
Sydney

Dear Mr. Scott,
Thanks for telling us about NASA. It was interesting. I also liked when you set off that mini version of that new plane that is being built. Thanks.
From,
Zeus
P.S. I liked the robot.
