Candling Eggs

Looking at chicken eggs is very interesting. Putting an egg up to a light and looking through the shell is called candling. If there is a live chicken in the egg you can see a big blob and blood vessels. It the egg is clear there will be no chicken in it. Looking at chicken eggs is very fun.

Ms. Murray and I went to Mrs. Seigel Boettner's classroom to go candle some eggs. About six eggs had babies in them because we could see blood vessels and big blobs. One egg started to grow but didn't keep on growing. The rest of the eggs were clear. It was fun to go candle eggs.
