Imaginary Place Story

This September sculpture and story was inspired by Alice McLerran and Barbara Cooney's book

called Roxaboxen.

Friends

One day, Filipp played at my house. We went in my pool. We did not get wet because we did not have our swimming shorts on because I had no swimming shorts and Filipp had left his at his house. So we went on the boat with our clothes on. We played "Stay on the Boat." We stayed on but at the end of our boat ride, we fell off! I had clothes that fit Filipp. He slept over and went to get his toothbrush but he forgot his so he used my spare one.

Chumash Notes

In October, we watched a film on the Chumash and took 10 interesting notes.

Mr. Stevens taught us how to export our Kid Pix art into our Claris Home Page text.

Rain Poetry

This November poem was inspired by our first rainy day.

Come, Rain, Come

Rain is not a pain.

I like rain because rain is plain water.

The plane is having a pain in the rain.

My sister thinks rain is a pain.

I think rain is fine.

And every time when I walk in the rain,

I splash in the rain.

And sometimes it's a pain to take my boots off.
