Imaginary Place Story
This September sculpture and story was inspired by Alice McLerran and Barbara Cooney's book
called Roxaboxen.
Golden Gate Park
Once upon a time, there was a park named Golden Gate Park. A girl named Jessica lived there. She was happy to live there because it was a very beautiful place. It was her own property. People would only come if they were invited. She lived with her family. It was both hers and her family's property. It had a lot of rocks around their house. Inside the house, there was a chair. Jessica sat there while her family was doing other stuff. She liked to sit there because it was one of her favorite places in the house.
One day Jessica was riding her bike at the park and she fell off. It hurt! That was a sad day for her but the next day was her birthday. That helped! She was very excited. That was a fun day for her. She got a winter coat, a Barbie, a new bike and a lot of other stuff.
Jessica and her family lived happily ever after.
Chumash Notes
In October, we watched a film on the Chumash and took 10 interesting notes.
Mr. Stevens taught us how to export our Kid Pix art into our Claris Home Page text.
Rain Poetry
This November poem was inspired by our first rainy day.

i
n,
Rain,
Go away.
Come back
Some other day.
I will see you
Pouring down and I'll
Play and look around.
I will play with you someday
And I'll spin in the rain.
