Mrs. Carter is very excited to be a part of the Vieja Valley staff again this year teaching fourth grade. She says teaching is a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. Mrs. Carter has been teaching at Vieja Valley since 1996. She enjoys reading, swimming, traveling, and gardening, and she spends her free time hiking and camping in the mountains. Mrs. Carter's favorite activity to do at school is Book Club and Writer's Workshop, because she loves hearing about great books and the creative stories her students write.
Mrs. Carter feels the most important thing she can teach her students is to have self-confidence in their own ability as learners. She is looking forward to a great year of learning and fun with her students!
