Dear Families,
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday!! This is my last letter of the year! (Can you believe that 2009 has come to an end?!) We have had a wonderful first four months of school. I am amazed at how much these children have grown and bloomed! They are authors, illustrators, mathmagicians, scientist, artist and athletes to name only a few of the many talents. They are also great friends and kind, thoughtful member of this community of learner! Thank you again for sharing them with me!
We have had a wonderful week. Pajama day was delightful. We had so many guest readers we had little time to read just with our friends or by ourselves but we would not trade that for all the lovely stories and voices that were shared with us. Thank you to Kathleen, Brigette, Carolyn, Allyson and of course Mrs. Cooley. We enjoyed the muffins, the cobbler and the hot chocolate! Thank you-Kelly, Anita, Sam and Brigette for all the treats. It was a magical day!
Our rehearsal went, you would be proud of your children. They smiled and sang in front of the whole school. They seemed to really enjoy themselves. WINTER SING- FRIDAY AT 9:00. We are the second to the last to sing! We are right after fourth grade. You may ask what time and I really can’t tell you as I don’t want anyone to miss it. The performance is usually one hour and we will be near the end. Sorry that is all I can say! See you there!
THANK YOU THANK YOU! The class gift was delivered to me today! “Wow”…all I can say is “Wow” (yes that is from Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse!) Thank you for your kind words, thoughtfulness and generosity! My family and I can’t tell you how thankful we are! (over)
January will be upon us all too soon! I will welcome you back in 2010!
Here is some information about upcoming events in the new year!
Happy Holidays! And a very Happy New Year!
PS. I was talking with Anita , Neve’s mom about some wonderful games she heard about and I would like to pass on a couple of these great game ideas –fun and you can learn something at the same time!!
Also there is one I can’t remember the name that has blocks and cards and you try to put the blocks to look like the card as fast as you can!
I know there are more but this is a good start. Also ask Anita!
