Dear Parents,
Our insect and plant units are in full-swing Ð though you may not see much of it coming home. WeÕll be saving most of our work for
Open House (May 29th). WouldnÕt be a bad idea to ask your child specific questions each day such as, ÒWhat did you learn about plants today? Did you study any special insects today? Did you make any art projects that you put in your Plant Folder today?Ó Might help in getting more informational feedback from them (rather than, ÒI donÕt know!Ó)É
The signs are up by the classrooms for plant donations. Check it out if things arenÕt filled.
We know that things are getting busy as the year is wrapping up but school is still a priority and weÕre still doing some great learningÉso Raptor Readers and Homework will continue for the next few weeks. ItÕll be nice to still have a ÒroutineÓ and some academic expectations for students as they are still in schoolÉjust make sure that you find some time when things are more mellow (maybe a Saturday morning or Sunday evening?) to focus and work with your child to do their best on their homework each week.
Have a wonderful and warm week -
