Lower Grade Reading Specialist

My life revolves about the words, joy and accomplishment. Joy at home

and within my family circle includes my husband of 45 years, Tim, and our

daughters Laurie and Wendy in Virginia and Amy in San Jose. I am blessed

with 7 grandchildren and enjoy traveling to see them, and also seeing the

wonders of our world, like visiting Japan last year. Other hobbies include

snorkling, walking, reading, and sharing happy times with good friends.

Vieja Valley School is my other "home" where I have the opportunity to

teach, smile and laugh with my other children - the ones whom I teach.

Since 1974, I have been worn many hats, including parent, reading teacher,

librarian, lower grade classroom teacher, and interim principal. When

asked, "When are you planning to retire?" I think, "Hmmmmm.... What do I

enjoy doing?" My answer is, "Teaching my children at Vieja Valley!"
