Unique features: Has a small mouth, seven fins, big eyes, eyes are even bigger than mouth. From middle to top it gets a dark blue green color, from middle to bottom, it's a blue, white color.
Where They Live:
Range: They are found from Vancouver Island, British Columbia to the Gulf of California.
Habitat: They can tolerate anything from fresh water to salt water.
How They Act:
They are active during the day & becomes quiescent during the night.
Reproduction: The Topsmelt fish like to lay their sticky eggs onto many kinds of aquatic plants; eelgrass seems to be a favorite.
